IV. Third-party Cookies

By using Cookies, as part of profiling, the user’s activity is analysed in order to improve the quality of the products and services offered, including optimising the functionality of the Website, as well as presenting the user with advertisements for products or services in which they may be interested. This does not significantly affect the user’s decisions, nor is it intended to have any legal consequences for the user. The legal basis for profiling is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, i.e. the legitimate interest of the controller or a third party. As part of statistical (analytical) and marketing activities for the purpose of displaying advertisements tailored to users, the Websites use Cookies from Google Ireland Ltd. based in Ireland and Google LLC. with its registered office in the USA.

V. Personal data

1. As a rule, the information obtained using Cookies does not constitute personal data, and in particular it is not combined by SATEL with other user data, nor is it used by SATEL to identify users. However, certain information may be linked to a specific person, e.g. by linking such information to other data held by third parties, and as such may be considered personal data. For information collected with Cookies that can be linked to a specific person, provisions of the Privacy Policy. are applicable.

2. The legal basis for the processing is the legitimate interest of the controller or a third party (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), i.e. improving the quality of the products and services offered, and marketing the products and services of the controller or a third party.

3. The data subject has the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning him or her for the purposes of the legitimate interest of the Controller or a third party, including profiling.

4. If personal data of users is obtained using Cookies, the deletion of Cookies by the user does not imply the deletion of this data by the data controller.
